Personal Experiences and University Life
I am a young International lawyer and Policy professional pursuing masters in Public Policy & Human Development at United Nations University – MERIT based in the southernmost and one of the most beautiful cities of Netherlands – Maastricht. This degree program is one of the most interesting, challenging and special masters in the entire world. My areas of expertise are Foreign Policy, Governance, Climate Change, International Trade & IPR Law and Human Rights and I am also the Indian Representative of Commonwealth Youth Human Rights & Democracy Network at The Commonwealth Secretariat. I am the recipient of “Youth Icon of India 2016” and “Best Global Young Entrepreneur 2015” awards. I love travelling and eating good Indian Food, I travel a lot in Netherlands and almost every weekend I am in The Hague or Amsterdam for work or to meet friends/relatives.
I found Netherlands as one of the best countries of Europe for pursuing your study and career, the people are very friendly here and the country is very welcoming. After the UK, Netherlands has the largest Indian Diaspora in the Europe which makes me “feel at home”. Here we celebrate almost every festival with the Indian community and enjoy that spirit of being an Indian. It is one of those countries that provide opportunities to young graduates to work here by providing orientation VISA. The country’s infrastructure is robust including the transport facilities and has a lot to offer. The universities here offer top quality education which is the reason why I chose these country to pursue my master studies. I can say that Netherlands has the potential to work as launch pad for your career.
